Amy joined Tula in 2013, bringing structure, initiative, and efficiency to the finance department. She is responsible for budgeting, accounting and plays a key role in Tula finance positioning. In addition, Amy assures communication and logistics stay on track in marketing department. Prior to Tula, Amy was a staff accountant for the Elmore Companies, an independently owned company with numerous subsidiaries including minor league baseball teams, industrial equipment, medical legal consulting, and real estate management.

Ben joined Tula in 2017, bringing research and development experience in both simulation and testing of advanced combustion engines and electric vehicle propulsion systems. Ben’s contributions to Tula include using simulation and analysis to evaluate and improve Tula’s powertrain technologies throughout the development process. This includes developing a system-level optimization scheme to select the optimum Dynamic Motor Drive (DMD) pulse amplitude while maintaining production-quality noise, vibration and harshness. He also conducts early-stage analysis of all customer applications to determine DMD’s potential to reduce energy consumption. Prior to joining Tula, Ben worked as a Postdoctoral Appointee at Sandia National Laboratories where he investigated how in-cylinder generated fuel reformate and low-temperature plasma ignition impact combustion processes.

Chris joined Tula Technology in 2008, bringing extensive vehicle and engine modification/ optimization expertise to the company. He is responsible for Tula’s dynamometer testing facility; vehicle builds and Tula vehicle demonstrations. Prior to joining Tula, Chris worked in the automotive aftermarket industry as manager of an engineering team designing and manufacturing performance parts for BMWs and was also manager of the Engine and Race departments, including dynamometers, engine machine shop and track support for professional racing series. Earlier in his career, Chris was an automotive technician, racecar fabricator and crew chief of numerous race teams, including racing victories at Daytona 24.

Glenda joined Tula in 2012, bringing both human resources and Silicon Valley recruiting expertise to the organization. Before Tula, Glenda held HR management and talent acquisition positions at technology companies including Magnum Semiconductor (specializing in video compression, acquired by GigOptix) and ATMI, Inc. (a provider of specialty semiconductor materials, acquired by Entegris).

Jack joined Tula in 2008, bringing both creative and practical solutions to Tula’s electrical and electromechanical product development. He was instrumental in designing the original deactivation hardware and control circuitry for Tula’s first demonstration vehicle and contributed to the development of Tula’s 48V eDSF inverter and E-motor dynos. Prior to joining Tula, Jack held management, hardware design and engineering positions at Foveon (image sensors), Tripath (digital audio amplification) and National Semiconductor (digital logic, mass storage, ethernet).

Linda leads business development and customer program management in China. In addition, she handles relationships with China automotive associations. She joined Tula in 2021, bringing experience in diesel engine customer development and automotive motor development. Prior to Tula, she held engineering leading positions at Delphi, Eberspaecher and Kautex for engine emission controls, and at Protean for electric vehicle motor development.

Mark joined Tula in 2009, bringing extensive engine controls R&D expertise to the company. He was part of our original team that first developed DSF technology, and he headed advanced control systems development before being named manager of Tula’s electrified DSF effort. Prior to joining Tula, Mark held positions at General Motors, Toyota, and UC Berkeley’s Vehicle Dynamics Laboratory, as well as startups outside the automotive space.

Paul joined Tula in 2018, bringing an extensive knowledge of electric motor controls and power electronics systems to our electric motor efforts. Prior to Tula, Paul was technical director in the EV startup CleanWave Technologies, and prior to CleanWave, he was chief engineer with BAE Systems in the HybriDrive division where he worked on commuter buses, commercial trucks, military vehicles and electric aircraft programs.
